With this exclusive video training, you will:
In this three hour video, Cynthia shows you how to relax, enjoy your painting time even more, and to just have fun and play … all while continuing to create paintings that are interesting and really, really good!
Take a look at just some of what Cynthia offers you in this video:
Whether you’re just getting started with painting or you’re a pro making good money with your art, you’re going to benefit from this video with Cynthia Rosen. Her experience is priceless when it comes to accelerating your own expressive style to create paintings that speak to who you are as a person and that will gain you recognition and admiration as an artist.
For beginners, you’re going to have a lot of fun trying Cynthia’s techniques. You’ll feel a sense of freedom as you try out painting with a palette knife. You’ll be able to relax while you paint, knowing you don’t have to get everything exactly right because you’ll be painting from what YOU see … including what YOU want to include … and letting color be your guide.
For advanced artists, you’ll be taking what you already know and adding new knowledge and skill to paint differently — to bring a bold and expressive style into your work so your voice and personality will show through on each and every painting you create.
To make things even better, this video includes a bonus interview with Cynthia, sharing more on her journey from becoming a traditional brush artist to a palette knife painter and how painting outdoors, in plein air, may be just what you need to rejuvenate your “art and soul”!
I've watched this video 3 times now (giving myself a couple months between viewings to absorb the lessons), and I learn new things with every repeat viewing. Cynthia's playful and intuitive approach to color stands out from traditional methods of painting. Cynthia has no desire to recreate what she sees realistically, but instead wants her painting to work as much as an abstract as it does as a landscape. She shows how to apply knife strokes and color that move your eye all around the painting, yet use the under painting to unify the composition and make the colors sparkle. I love Cynthia's art and I love this video.
The dvd was very informative. Cynthia explained what and why she was doing as she went along. Will definitely watch more than a few times.
Cynthia's no nonsense approach to plein air painting is inspiring. She provides some excellent advice for set up and materials. As she demonstrates, she show us how to use undertones to unify the painting. Her knife work makes mixing clean vibrant color easier. I appreciate her tips about composition and advice about making one's own statement from the view before us.
Very interesting technique. Obviously she is great at it. I don't think I'd want my whole painting to be dabs and dots by knife application, but I'm glad to see it done beautifully.
I've been following Cynthia Rosens work for several years and when I saw that she was creating a new video, I was very excited to purchase one. I've received the video and she has produced a great teaching aid for anyone who is interested in learning from, who I consider, a modern expressionist master. She guides the viewer through her process of perspective, color juxtaposition and composition. I would highly recommend this video to all artist.
